Tanzanias Travel Update due to COVID-19 Pandemic
We are excited to announce that, Tanzania has been welcoming guests from across the globe. To ensure the safety of all travelers, you will be required to adhere to specific public safety guidelines, provide a valid Health Travel Authorization (HTA) and present a negative PCR test on arrival.
With quarantine and movement regulations no longer applicable, Tanzania is the perfect escape for travelers who are looking to immerse themselves in boundless beauty, fantastic accommodation, sprawling wildlife and breathtaking island experiences with un-limited travel restrictions.
Entry rules in response to coronavirus (COVID-19)
Thanks to a remarkably successful vaccination campaign, Tanzania has started vaccinated as from mid-July, 2021 of its population to welcome all foreign visitors irrespective of their vaccination status. However, some guidelines must be followed:
Present a negative PCR test
Upon your arrival, you are required to present a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to your departure. All passengers travelling to Tanzania must complete an online Traveller’s Surveillance Form. This form must be submitted no more than 24 hours before arrival.
Compliance with public health measures
Visitors must adhere to public health measures put in place. These include wearing a face masks, social distancing, washing of hands and/or regular sanitization.

All passengers entering Tanzania will be subjected to enhanced screening for COVID-19 including a mandatory rapid test. The cost for rapid testing is 25 USD per traveler which can be paid for through the online travelers Surveillance Form or in cash on arrival. The Government of Tanzania is also implementing temperature scanning for all international passengers arriving into Tanzania.
Qurantine requirements
If you test positive for COVID-19 on arrival, you will be required to self-isolate for 14 days. You should comply with any additional screening measures put in place by the authorities.
