Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival JRO- Moshi

  On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be met by your transfer driver who will drive you for about 45 minutes to your hotel in Moshi. Look out for iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro out of your left-hand window on the way if the Mother Nature allow.

• Day 2 - 7: Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking - Machame Route

  Machame route is argueably the most scenic and probably the most beautiful route by which to ascend the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro. The trek begins in the south-west area of the mountain at Machame Gate and descends down Mweka, on the south-east side of the mountain thus offering climbers the most varied scenary of Kilimanjaro. Additionally, Machame visits stunning places such as Shira Plateau, Barranco, and Lava Tower.

  Machame route is known as the "Whiskey Route" in comparison to Marangu because it is a more difficult route and trekkers sleep in camping tents as opposed to huts. Machame is the second most popular route on the mountain. Nights are spent in 'mountain tents' sleeping two persons per tent (3 man tents, so there is space for your luggage). All your supplies and camping equipment are carried by porters and your meals are prepared.

  Machame is ideal for those who want a more difficult climb, and are confident in their ability to hike for long periods of time over somewhat steep terrain. The route takes six days minimum to complete, although seven days is recommended to increase the chances of summiting. The descent is down Mweka, on the south-east side of the mountain.

• Day 8: Arusha - Full Day Relaxation

  The day is at your disposal and during the day you can opt for one of tourist attraction in consideration that Arusha is the one of the largest city in Tanzania.

• Day 9: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

  After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will begin your journey to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire has an authentic safari atmosphere. The hilly landscape, with Baobab trees scattered against the blue sky, is breathtaking.

• Day 10: Tarangire National Park - Lake Manyara area (Mto-wa-mbu)

  After another tasty breakfast with packed lunches for half day game drive in Tarangire National Park. You'll depart from Tarangire after lunch for the approximately three hour drive to Lake Manyara area (mto-wa-mbu).

• Day 11: Lake Manyara area (Mto-wa-mbu) - Arusha

  After a leisurely breakfast/brunch at your Lodge/Campsite in Lake Manyara you will start your half day cultural activities; along the way you'll pass through the market town of Mto Wa Mbu along the way.

• Day 12: Arusha - Kilimanjaro Int. Airport (JRO)

  After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel you will be driven back to Kilimanjaro International airport depending on your departure flight schedule back home.
